Kentucky beat Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl that season. In those days, there was no post-bowl poll. I think Sagarin awarded Kentucky the 1950 title retroactively.

I'm a young guy and a newer fan so I don't really remember those times, but we looked pretty damn good. Don't wanna count my chickens before they hatch, but it's hard for me to imagine us getting beat by any of the teams behind us.
