Why does everyone get caught up with sac #'s. There is not one single indicator/statistic that equates sacs with winning. However, there are tons of indicators/stats that show pressure, hurries, and changing the QB's launch point directly affect winning. WE DON'T CARE ABOUT SACS! Our defensive philosophy is to make him throw it off balance, hurried, and/or out of rhythm. We want TO's. I'd rather intercept Mallett three times than sac him three times and give him three more opportunities to make a play.
