Garcia confidence has to be shot after not being put back in the final drive

Garcia's confidence is done. He's had a shaky relationship with Spurrier since the beginning and you know Steve won't hesitate to yank someone. I think now that Spurrier has started the "trend" of yanking him it won't stop.

Yea, but you dont go "Tebow" with the football and fumble, twice. Yanking QBs might be normal for spurrier, but id have done it too in that situation. Im sure he had someone running an "Oh S--t" route.

I got ticked when mcelroy did that a bit last year, but i donnt think he never went head on into a big hit and fumbled either.

Lack of sacks, per se, is not the real issue to me. To me, a lack of sacks indicates a lack of real pressure on the QB. Now, we've put some pressure on these QB's, but not enough to actually make it to the QB and drop him. Sacks are the result of adequate pressure, and no sacks means not enough pressure. The game plan that Arky had in the 1st half did feature some running, and that too pressure off of Mallett. But, when we scored to make it 20-14, that pressure to score raised again, and he made mistakes because of it. 20-17, pressure went up again to score. This is not Mallett's best feature. Honestly, if UGA was half the team Bama is, Arky would be .500 right now. They will lose again this year.

I'm concerned more about Florida. They seem to have something working on offense, and they have all the motivation to win this time. If we get through this and then SC, we are only halfway through this torried schedule. LSU is going to be tough down there, and Auburn is looking better each week. Then you have to play either SC or Florida AGAIN in the SEC title game. Probably Florida.

This will be Saban's finest coaching job ever if he can get us back to the SEC Title game, let alone winning it.

Exiled, you know I'm the biggest freakin' worrier on this board. With that said I just take 'em one game at a time. Two weeks ago I said I just wanted to get through Penn State, then the next week Duke (yep, worried about that one too), then of course Arkansas last week. I kept thinking if we can just beat Arkansas on the road then I'll worry about Florida later. There is still SO much football to be played. I can't even think ahead because it's just daunting. It really is. You're right about the coaching job Saban will have to pull off. OK, I just can't go there right now.

I think maybe you should have a nice relaxing cocktail, a massage, a valium, or just avoid football all together.

Not generating sacks worried me a couple of wks. ago! But after the way we handled Fla. I thought maybe I was worrying to much but guys do you realize we have only 5 sacks this year! I also thought we would dominate South Car. and win going away!
