They most likely threw a flag on him for that, as in high school they don't allow the leaping. He did the same thing against De La Salle and they flagged him.

This game really should have put a fire under the butts of some of the defensive recruits with the special teams hits from Wilson, Johnathon Allen having a killer game, Tim Williams making an impact, Dalvin Tomlinson batting balls, killer rush defense, and our always roving linebacker play.

So who actually made the trip to Tuscaloosa on Saturday?

Elijah Conliffe, four-star defensive tackle from Hampton High School in Virginia, is one of the top uncommitted prospects on the East Coast. He earned a scholarship offer from the University of Alabama in July, and returned to Tuscaloosa on Saturday for the Crimson Tide's 33-14 win against Texas A&M.

"It was fun," Conliffe said. "I got to see the game. It was a really good showing for the defensive line. It was nice to see them get after the ball and to see them score. You don't get to see it too much. Jonathan Allen went off in the game. He was in the backfield making plays. He scored the touchdown. That sack he had was explosive.

"It was my first time going to a game there. It was really loud. The seats were a little uncomfortable, but it was still a really good experience. A lot of fans were telling me 'Roll Tide' and to go to Bama. They were taking pictures with me. One little kid asked for my autograph. It was crazy.

Conliffe made the rounds talking with the Tide coaches and spent quality time with Alabama's defensive line coach.

"I spoke with pretty much the whole coaching staff," he said. "We were just catching up with each other. I spent most of my time with Coach Dunbar. He was basically talking to my parents. My parents loved it down there.

"Coach Dunbar was telling me to keep up the hard work. He sees improvement in my game from week-to-week. I messed up my ankle earlier this season. He sees I am getting better."

Conliffe didn't hesitate when asked where Alabama stands with other schools on his list.

"Bama is at the top," he responded. "I love the coaching staff. The players seem like they all get along pretty well. All the recruits are great. Everyone seems like respectful men; I like that. The best part about being down there was just hanging out with the players."

Conliffe's calendar is clear at this time.

"I don't have any other visits set up right now," he said. "I may go back down to Alabama for the Iron Bowl. I plan on taking my official visit there in December or January. Louisville and Ole Miss are still coming after me pretty strong."

A decision time-frame?

"I don't have a decision time-frame yet," he said. "I am talking to some video guys about releasing a video for my commitment. It could be soon."

Several elite recruits were in Tuscaloosa on Saturday for the Crimson Tide's 33-14 win against Texas A&M. Xavier Thomas, 2018 five-star defensive end from Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina, was one of the best in attendance.

"Just the campus itself and the game day environment," Thomas said when asked of his first impressions of Alabama. "The fans are everywhere you go. People told me I was going to fall in love with Alabama once I go. They weren't lying.

"The best part of my visit was with my family and I talked with Coach Lupoi and Coach Saban. It was a great experience being able to talk to a legend. He (Saban) told me, along with Coach Lupoi, that I was their No.1 guy for 2018.

"They need me because Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson are both projected first round picks. The position is low because they only have one commitment at that position for the 2017 class, so I am very needed."

Alabama came to play against the Aggies' offense on Saturday limiting them to only 14 points. Thomas was impressed.

"It was amazing," he said. "I was picturing myself as those two players (Williams, Anderson) because they were doing a heck of a good job, and I could see myself doing what they were doing."

The No.3 player in the Rivals100 talked with a former Crimson Tide player during his visit. He also was recruited by a few commitments.

"I spoke with Denzel (Devall) who is an assistant personnel coach. I hung out with him a lot. He told me why he chose Bama, and what Bama is all about. I talked to some of the commitments such as VanDarius (Cowan) and Alex Leatherwood. They were talking to me about going to Bama."

The first visit to Tuscaloosa was enlightening, and several schools stand out at this point in the recruiting process including Alabama.

"I am most definitely highly considering them," Thomas said of the Tide. "I really don't have any top schools in order right now. All I know is my top schools are Clemson, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, and Georgia. No specific order anymore right now."

The best part of the University of Alabama?

"I like Just everything about Alabama," he said. They never give up in a game. Their facilities. The coaches tell me the truth. They don't boost my head up with dreams and fantasies. They tell me I have to come there and work hard."
