šŸˆ VanDarius Cowan dismissed from the team

I'm still waiting on you to define fair fight.

Hard to really know what happened w/o being their and not hearing anything. Clearly something was said between the two. Cowan walked between the guys, perhaps he said something, perhaps the other guy did first.

I don't think this is worth getting kicked off the team, but that's me. Kids fight, always have...not to mention, things can get sideways at a bar when folks are drinking liquid courage.

I agree this one incident wouldn't be sufficient to be kicked off the team IMO but when you have multiple strikes and on a short leash anyway, can't let this stuff happen to yourself. Yes, the guy was clearly saying something to him (likely talking shit) but that doesn't give you the right to punch someone in the face (or at least doesn't give you the right to do it without consequences) and I'm sure they were both drunk but that's why you don't put yourself in that type of situation, especially if you are already in the dog house.

Not his first issue at UA... Can't remember but I thought Saban either didn't allow him to practice or didn't allow him to play on A Day?
This makes me laugh. Seriously laugh.

Everyone makes such a big deal about how the QB's perform on A-day as well as the other positions. Who was watching Cowan?

He was there. He was with the 3's. Go back and look. Judge for yourself. It's something you can look at and see "it's not there." AND...he knew the plays.

Patterns should solve a lot of debate about this youngster. His decisions have already cost him playing time at every level and he still continues to put himself in harm's way. The high school incident(s) cost him his playing time with his high school. It also cost him his spot on the Army All-American team. Academics cost him practice time during spring practice. And now more poor judgment at a bar no less. A lot of us here have been hearing rumors of a drug suspension coming soon. It's one thing to be warned multiple times, it's another to be warned and then punished and continue to make the same poor decisions. Nothing good would come from his future mistakes for the psyche of this football team.

Most interesting about a lot of the narrative on this thread. What has happened to everyone's unrelenting confidence that coach Saban is in control and knows what he's doing?

Dude - I said I can't remember. Obviously I can remember Hurts' shitty performance because it was front and center. That's not what we're debating here.

Was he held out of practices this Spring? Or was this his first issue?

Not laughing at you...just laughing at the whole situation.

This is not a laughing matter, Terry. Cowan will punch a mother fucker in the face for not remembering his A Day performance
Maybe that's what the guy mentioned? Perhaps, this little guy watches A-day closer than the QB competition?

Why would anyone? A Day performances don't matter..... :rolf:

Huh, someone in this thread said that?? I missed that.
...all the while knowing TL was out, he decides to...

Just another interesting thing about this thread.
