Andre Smith has only allowed 1 sack his entire carrer. One can only wonder.....

I want to thank all of the Bama fans, especially Terry and Big Fan. We've had some great back and forth. As young as your team is and how Saban will use these last two games as motivation I wouldn't want to be a team on your schedule.

Your injuries along the OL really hurt you, but I thought the biggest thing was how little pressure was put on our QB. If Brian has time he can pick an defense apart. That put your offense in unfamiliar territory of having to resort to passing.

Didn't see the official "congratulations" thread earlier, so I'll post my salute to the Utes one more time:

Ute fans, I, too, want to congratulate on an outstanding win. I was very impressed with the intensity and aggressive play that your team demonstrated tonight. Fantastic game plan--your team was well prepared for the task at hand.

IMO, your team deserves some consideration for Number 1. The Utes appeared to have Bama on its heels, more so than what Florida did in the SECCG.

Again, salute to the Utes for an awesome season.

Personally I thought you guys should have beat Florida, and personally I think you are the in the top 2 of best teams in the Nation.
Great year for being predicted to only win 7 games!

I promise this, I will never doubt another MWC team or any other OOC team again. I dont think I've seen a team as fast as or more determined than Utah tonight. You guys wanted respect, you earned it from me, and hopefully the rest of the world tonight. Congrats on doing something no one gave you any chance in hell on doing. I honestly thought it would have been the other way around, Utah proved me wrong, and I tip my hat and I am more than happy to eat my words. A playoff is in order, Utah dominated a team you weren't supposed to, and did it bad.

I want to send my apologies to all the Utah fans for ever doubting. Like everyone said, you want respect, than beat Bama, and you did it a little more than I had ever wanted. Congrats to Utah and their fans, you have a special team there. But Roll Tide, cause we will be back next year.

Alabama got the $hit beat out of them tonight by a team no one said could do it. They earned their respect and embarrassed Alabama. No way around it. We havent trailed by 14 or 21 points all season, yeah they kinda came back, but got taken to the wood shed. Utah earned this. I was embarrassed, but then again I could make all kind of excuses like the announcers said, Bama thinks they should be in the national championship game, Utah thinks they should be in the sugar bowl..... Utah showed up, and showed up alot better than I ever dreamed. Blah blah blah, Andre Smith, Blah blah blah Mike Johnson getting hurt, blah blah blah Kevin Steele leaving, there are so many reasons we can use, but the fact of the matter is, no ona gave Utah credit, and Utah came out and beat the @&$#@% out of Bama. No excuses. It was embarrassing. Bama fans can play it off like ya want, but we all know it. We talked all kind of smack and the smack came back and popped us in the face. But we arent down. We are ahead of schedule, so I'm not worried. But Utah did beat the @^#% of of Bama. Congrats. Roll Tide.

Utah deserves no lower than a #3 ranking... possibly #2 depending on the outcome of the UF/OU game.

Baloney. They deserve to be #1. They were the only team that was perfect all year. The beat a team that was ranked #1 the last five weeks of the regular season. The beat a team that beat USC, which may be the most talented team in the country. I'd like for someone to explain to me why either Oklahoma or Florida should be the national champ instead of Utah. This is as close to winning it on the field as you're gonna get...They drilled Bama, who beat Ole Miss, who beat Florida in the swamp, and also who drilled Texas Tech, who beat Texas, who beat Oklahoma. Someone please explain to me why Utah shouldn't be the national champs. I'm not very bright, so go real slow so I can understand.

As they said at the beginning of the game we had our eyes on the BCS Championship and Utah had theirs on the Sugar Bowl. I think Saban was the only one aware of how good Utah was. The loss of Smith had devestating effects on our whole game plan. The OL was at a disadvantage going in and then the loss of Jounson compounded the problem. JPW did not have the protection he needed to stay on the field, do conversely our D had to play more than they needed to. I could tell in the pregame that the Utes had the eye of the tiger (no reference to Auburn). They wanted it and the came with a game plan to win it with help I'm sure from Urban Meyer. Long story short Utah took it to us and we could not handle it, plan and simple. We have a bright future . . . Thanks for the season Tide this fan is proud of what you accomplished.
