Maybe in a primary, but not a debate. Vance is a chameleon, first kowtowing to the liberal elite as some sort of Appalachian specimen of enlightenment. Then, he bolts right. When Vance was still doing book tours on the coasts, Rubio was a consistent conservative. Pure debate skills wise, Rubio is superior.

Maybe but I don't think so. Rubio has conducted himself very well and is well spoken and knowledgeable. I believe Vance could have better "barbs" but I also think Republicans care more about policy than barbs.

Say what you want about Trump but I find it hard to disagree that he is accomplishing putting China in a corner. If he accomplishes regime change in Venezuela, Iran, and now Cuba how could you possibly think that's not good for the US and the world as a whole?

I would say Trump is actually making Rubio much more ready for the presidential position than Vance.. not only is Rubio Secretary of State but he is also assuming the role of national security advisor.. i'm not even sure that's happened before.
