🧑‍🤝‍🧑 / 🏡 Any Ridge Wallet users?

I have needed on for a while. When @Brandon Van de Graaff posted about the Ridge. I started looking for one of these types. But most like Ridge it mostly for the iPhone because of the air tag or whatever it's called. I did find one call the simpl wallet. One thing about this one is not big enough to carry all the stuff in my old wallet. But lucky me, this wallet was on sale and also had a BOGO. One can be attached to my phone, but I'm like @TerryP it would be out in the open.
Why do you want a wallet that attaches to your phone? Physically attaches?

@Brandon Van de Graaff this should be a life lesson (and I'm single.)

Never, ever, question a woman when she is picking out a purse. We have NO room to speak.

I don't it just something that is part of the wallet.

I try using using one of those thing you use for your phone on the belt. It go into my pocket.

The last time I ask a woman about her purse. That was my mother and I think I was somewhere around 10 years old.

Or Google pay.

I rarely use it simply because 99% of the time I have the cards on me, but I have zero reservations about it. It (apple wallet) is a lot more secure than using the physical card(s). I tend to use it more when on vacation for whatever reason. Had to use it recently at Publix when I went to check out and realized that I'd left my wallet at home on accident (that was convenient and saved me a lot of time and hassle).

You just told me I'm paranoid.

If you're more concerned about theft/fraud from apple pay than actual plastic card use, then yes. Just as an example, think about when you pay in a restaurant. Gal takes your card... so easy to take a quick photo of it with name, number, expiration date, cvc code, etc... Use it to place phone or internet orders. That's just one example.

Brandon. A bill for a wallet? No.

$100? That doesn't seem too bad for a good wallet that'll last over a decade, at least.

I have trust issues. If I am out and about and find I don't have enough cash to cover a purchase, I use my credit card. Because if un - authorized purchases are made, they can be contested with success. I only use my debit card in a couple of trusted places. If un - authorized purchases turn up, good luck getting your money back. Most likely not happening. Your whole checking account could be drained and there is not much you or your bank can do about. At least, that's what one of my friends tells me.

It's not a trust issue. I'd like to think that. I lose my phone too often. (I haven't lost one on three or four years so maybe that jinx is broken...knocking on wood.) I only use my debit card to get cash. (That's a realization I hadn't come upon until now. I only have one cash transaction in my life for the last year aside from the occasional farmers market.)

I put everything on a credit card. All my due dates are on the 15th or later. I pay everything off the first week of the month.

No shit. I got an offer this week from Walmart One this week for 3K, 10 percent back on the first purchase. (It's Synchonry bank) I"m going to spend as much of that 3K as I can...and toilet tissue doesn't spoil. Neither do trash bags. I'm salivating on a laptop right now on sale for $1900.

Back to the point. I have a Cap One debit I use when I need one. I just move money from my bank to that card for things like online purchases. It's my "Internet" card.

There is a very distinct possibility I'm far too anal on how I track my money.

A person Has to do whatever they are comfortable doing in the way they spend their money. All have their own comfort level.

I had a pretty large balance ( for me ) on my credit card a couple years back. Finally paid it off. Now, I make sure to pay in full each month.
Dang interest was eating me alive. Proud to say that I don't any debt other than home mortgage and utilities.
