Ahh, there's something up his sleeve I'm sure. If he decided he wanted to quit then he's gonna quit. I think this whole new drama has more to do with the recruits and the AD at Florida then it does Urban. This seems like spin control or somthing...
He's looking more and more like a drama queen as this goes on, as though he didn't already look like one. :lance:
I say come on back Urban and take a few beatings before calling it quits!
How'd you like to be his interim replacement? Always wondering when the trap door under you was gonna get pulled? He just made a big ol' **** storm at UF. What an idiot.
I wish him the best, and hope his health issues abate; however, I find him easy not to like. Either way it breaks (returning or drifting about in the wings), their competitors benefit from the uncertainty.
"It's something that started four years ago," Meyer said. "The chest pains became significant two years ago. It was a stress related. I was very concerned."
this whole thing seems odd. say what you want about him having a known health condition. He has an issue 4 years ago, they started getting significant 2 years ago, you continue coaching. Now you decide to retire and you go to the hosipital right after the SEC championship game which you lost.
He decides to retire and be with his family, and now he has a change of "heart", all the sudden his health isn't a concern expect for this year while he is resting.
Something seem off with all of this. I don't buy the change of heart.
Careful man. You might upset TideAlum05 with all this talk! Before long he may be calling everyone an idiot!
In all seriousness, I hope Coach Myer recovers and is able to come back to coaching. Thank goodness our coach so far seems to be able to really handle the stress and trying times of coaching at a high level.
