Apparently he'd been having difficulties with the administration ahead of the death threat misstep. There's not doubt he's a good coach, and his personnel losses this year have been huge.
Not likely. There's not much value to bring him in for the remainder of this season. Plus, he'll need to be free for interviews as soon as the season ends. He will land somewhere and if not, he won't be scrounging for money.
That's the trend. Mizzou won the SEC East 2 years, then went to the bottom. Florida won the SEC East the next two years, time for them to go to the bottom.
This weekend we'll see one of the two teams--UT and Vandy--win their first conference game. So, we'll be looking at Mizzou as the 11th or 12th team in the SEC (depending on how Arkansas does.)
The last two years Mizzou has had the worst conference record in the SEC but that comes with a caveat. IE: Mizzou won one conference game in '15 as did South Carolina--a team Mizzou beat. In '16 they had the same conference record as Ole Miss. However, that Ole Miss team lost to Arkansas...a team Mizzou beat in the last game of '16.
The numbers show Mizzou hasn't been the worst team in the SEC. Bad for the last few years, but not the worst.
Ok....not the worse of the worse...but the worse still....
Who would you rather play if you had to have a win...
Vandy.....no
Ky....no
Ark...no.
Tn...no...
Missouri...yep & I know they trashed a FL team that has quit...but whatever
