The Bulldogs have posted a 6-2 (3-2 SEC) record to begin the season and recently defeated Texas A&M by a score of 35-14 in College Station, Texas. Mississippi State will next host UMass in Starkville, Miss. -- the same site as its Week 11 game against Alabama.

The Tide and Bulldogs will meet for the 102nd time in a series that dates back to the 1896 season. Alabama owns the all-time advantage, 81-17-3 and is 17-4 (16-4) all-time in Starkville.

The Mississippi State series is tied for the second-longest continuously played series in the Alabama record book, which dates back to the 1948 season. The Crimson Tide has won nine straight against State, including last year’s 51-3 victory in Tuscaloosa.
