this firing is a mistake. Chalk up 3-4 more years of struggle for florida automatically.
they were, at times, playing pretty good ball and the system was ok. just needed to plug in a handful of players to be in competition for the east with ease.
back up and watch the first half of the wlocp if you didn't see it. The score wasn't a great indicator of what was happening on the field. the pick 6 was not a bad throw by the QB... just a tipped ball. florida moved the ball down the field a couple of times and just came up short. The only mistakes I would definitely say were on the coaches were the play calls when you have first and goal so close to the endzone and also the decisions to not take the field goals in the first half. Other than that, well orchestrated plays and pretty good execution. For a young guy, not bad QBing either.
IMO, florida needs a signature RB and about 2 receivers to be getting pretty near par with UGA in PPG and wins.
