🏈 UPDATE Friday evening - Jameis out the entire game vs Clemson this Saturday

As some you know, I worked with his mom up until I retired. She is very much a lady, and I cringe for what she has gone through with his antics. I did not get the feeling that he was running wild like this in high school, but obviously FSU has low standards for its athletes. I hope someone will get through to him.
Isn't his dad the problem, though?

His dad has been the enabler.
That's what I thought. Too bad. I'd hate to say he's throwing away unbelievable talent, but the reality is he's not. The NFL, at least at this point, doesn't really care about the past transgressions of draft picks. the tenor may be changing some, but somebody will pay him exorbitant amounts of money, then we'll wash, rinse, repeat.

Maybe its the greater freedom of college, but he did not run as wild at Hueytown as he is now. Remembering my own college days, if you wanted to do something crazy you could always find someone who'd go along with you. Not so much in high school. More restraint by mom and some of his teachers. The way he is going, at some point the administration at FSU is going to say "enough is enough".

For a more serious take, it seems more and more like the decision was out of Fisher's hands to begin with... and 2, can't help but wonder if the idiot did something else to make matters worse.

The day before his suspension was announced, I saw a tweet out of FSU about JW being pulled aside at practice by two suits (one of whom was the AD.) I didn't think anything about the tweet until a few hours later. Point being, my gut tells me it was already out of Fisher's hands at that time (assuming it ever was considering the video could have made its way to ADMIN through other hands.)

It's clear FSU's handled this poorly, again.

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week after he stood on a table and yelled an obscene phrase in the student union on FSU’s campus on Tuesday.

Several students saw Winston yell the phrase and instinctively took to social media and tweeted about what they had witnessed. Deadspin caught wind of the tweets and they soon spread across the Internet. A day later, FSU suspended the Heisman-winning quarterback for the first half of Saturday night’s game against Clemson.

Instead of being upset with Winston for being immature, many Florida State fans and students are blaming those who tweeted what they saw for Winston’s suspension.

Some were general with their blame.
A bunch of the tweets here on Dr.Saturday...

@Brandon Van de Graaff Over the last few years, when we've been in the middle of "Coach Search 201?," when Jimbo's name comes up in context with a job there's always a mix of people saying, "he doesn't get along with/doesn't like the Administration at FSU."

Consider this:

Jimbo is on TV saying one thing, the school administration on another page at the same time putting what apparently is their additional suspension on paper, and he's been left out to flap in the wind.

Today, all of yesterday's actions, leave him looking like a guy who doesn't know what's going on—deservedly so, I might add. He didn't.

IF I were in Jimbo's shoes, I'd have some issues with the school administration that easily could be called dislike.

I think this shoes the power of the media and that us peasants still have a voice. Just look how the NFL responded to all the criticism over the initial Ray Rice suspension and handling. Now look at how Florida State is back peddling and taking more harsh action after they have been drilled in the media and by the public.

I'm glad this asshole is getting benched. Maybe he'll get left out of the locker room and sideline and be forced to watch at home and POSSIBLY learn something. I doubt it as people like him truly don't give a crap, but we can all hope.

I have seen my sportsbook drop it to -14 for the Seminoles. Hoping Deshaun Watson will come in blazing and take these guys out. I'm holding on to my prediction they lose two.
