@Brandon Van de Graaff posted the tweet but they're all three going to play some tonight but at reduced minutes so likely less than 10 mins each. Letting them slowly acclimate is probably the smart move for now. If this was a tip-off game against better competition we may have done something differently.

Hopefully, our young men come out playing tough defense, rebounding, protecting the paint and are consistent on offense. Looking forward to the season.

That's good to hear. I think we'll need Sherrell more than we think at 5. Hopefully he can get into game shape real quick and get comfortable in the offense.

Things I hope to see tonight:

-Better defensive intensity than we saw against Memphis.

-Better transition D

-Limited turnovers - usually early in the season, Oats' teams have a tendency to be careless with the ball as they get acclimated to the offense.

-Attacking the boards. Was an issue last season.

-Better finishes/higher quality shots around the rim.

I definitely won't put too much stock into an exhibition. I did not know going into that game that there were unlimited fouls. Memphis played way more handsy than you would in a normal game. There is some minor stuff from that game that I think Oats was not happy about (such as poor transition play), but ultimately you take it with a grain of salt.

Watching Purdue-Texas A&M CC. Purdue's pace is a lot faster than previous seasons. But their D is really biting on the shot fake.
