I had a conversation with an unbiased Georgia fan this morning and he said "so yall are gonna win a championship this year huh" At first I thought he was being sarcastic meaning that all Bama fans are predicting that. But after talking with him a bit more I found that he was serious. He thinks there is no one in the SEC that can beat us.

I was a little taken back....

I do agree that we have a lot of talent and potential. But, unless we bring it to the field each week, have the bounces go our way and minimize injuries it aint gonna happen.

He left my office saying "I'm glad we aint gotta play yall this year"

Rational UGA fans already know this (and they are not many but they are coming around). I have found that a lot of the UGA fans I know pull for Bama on the side....mainly because they hate orange just as much as we do.

They cannot stand Ten, Fla or Aubrun (well the ones I know)

I think we are good enough to win the SEC....now, does that mean we will bring our A game every week? I dont know. The first half of FIU wasnt our A game. Neither was VT. Im afraid that if we sleep in the first half of some of our bigger games (UT, LSU, Auburn, UM, possible SECCG) we will find ourselves way behind.

I wonder that myself. I get FSU is mad about signing Jimbo to coach in waiting status. If Richt were to get the ax......He would be the perfect replacement for Bobby at FSU.

I think Richt's biggest problem is the fact that he has gone more Tubberville the past few years and got out of play calling and more into the management of the team role. Think back to when he came in the league. He was running the O and calling plays. Same can be said for Spurrier. Both have relinquished duties to a "capable" play caller. I think both could get better if they stuck with what got them there.

I agree that the majority of UGA fans hate the same teams we do. I always get comments on my "I HATE ORANGE" shirt when I wear it here in Ga. UGA ended their chances at a NC last year and I don't see them being anywhere near one with their current talent. Then there's always those dawg fans that think their gonna whip everyone they face, all teams have fans like that.

This is definitely how my UGA friends are, for sure. And they are always very supportive of Bama. Maybe it's just because we are, in fact, friends - and they are supportive of me. But whatever. There's definitely a bond there against all orange.

Not so fast! People underestimate Richt every year. Have a look at his record and don't be surprised if it's Georgia that pulls the UF upset this year.
