At least he uses tight ends! ND isn’t known for the spread offense. I don’t watch them that much, I saw they scored 31 (ranked 42) per game this past season while we scored 41. Maybe he’s a boy wonder that was being held back.

People freaking out over it when he'd be a good hire. For most of last season be didn't have his starting Quarterback, so they turned into a physical downhill running team. Look what they did against Clemson, who had one of the best defenses last season. They punched them in the mouth, and ran for 260+ hards on them. When his offense is healthy and clicking.... they can win games based on whats working during them, he's adaptive, and that's good. He was also able to turn Ian Book into a Heisman contender, so it be exciting to see what he could do with what we have now, and coming in. Not my first choice, but I wouldn't be mad at it at all.

It's just the cycle of them I guess. There will always be some fans freak out over a hire no matter who it is. If we hure Pruitt to be the DC, they'll freak out until we start looking great on defense again. Then the freaking out will stop. Like with Sarkisian. Sabans going to hire who he feels is best for the job. And why freak out when he hasn't officially offered the job? It's just an interview.

I'm just throwing a name out there just out of curiosity, but is Kellen Moore an option? I happen to think he helped make Dak look better than Dak really is, but was the scapegoat in being fired for Dak being exactly what Dak truly is. Thoughts?

Chargers just grabbed him, but he wants to stay in NFL. I think it is hard form some of these guys who get the NFL taste to want to transition to CFB... It may be more money in some cases, but at a place like Bama, it is a LOT more work.
