Growing up, we kept beagles as pets, and they were great on rabbits and, since we were typically hunting with shotguns in a pretty dense, 40-60 acre area, they were great running deer. Because they were slow trackers, the deer wouldn't light out for points beyond.

This is the only rabbit I’ve tried. I generally avoid processed foods, but chocolate rabbit-in-a-box is pretty good.

Back in the late 90's early 2000's. There used to be an old plantation home that was moved to Aliceville in Pickens Co. They turned it into a restaurant named "The Plantation House". Really good food, but during the week they would have a fried rabbit buffet with white rice and brown gravy w/biscuits. It was legit.

On a side note. I had to go back and look and see where Ty was from. I assume he took guys "home" to Tennessee with him. Deer season is still going on in Alabama, and I doubt too many places would allow rabbit hunting during deer season around here. Deer season ended in TN on 1/5/25
