📡 🏆 CFP Selection Show (and bowls) #1 Bama vs #4 Cincy in the semi's (UM vs UGA)

My Ole Miss buddies thought they had a shot at the Sugar Bowl before that game ended last night. Figured if we lost and lost to UGA, they’d be heading to New Orleans. They were pissed when the Tide squeaked it out. I told them they should have beaten Auburn. Auburn held the keys for both of us and they beat Ole Miss keeping them from the Sugar.

This committee is licking it’s chops to have 4 new teams in the playoffs. Clemson is out so they have only 1 team to deal with and that’s Bama. I don’t think Bama gets in even with a close loss to Georgia unless Michigan, Cincinnati, and Oklahoma St. all lose. Of course, they want ND in there and then fill the other 2 slots with 1 & 2 loss teams

With loss of HC....takes a point or 2 off ND....
That would be classic...

Alabama winning out would still get them to the Sugar, right?

I see no way Bama loses to GA and gets in.

I think if we lose, Oklahoma State loses, AND Cincinnati loses we may make it. All of that is a possibility. I can't see Baylor jumping us with our loss being to a Top 10 Texas A&M and potential loss to #1 Georgia.

That would leave Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Alabama. Notre Dame is yet again the beneficiary of their name and everyone else losing late. The other three teams I can agree are probably in the Top 4 best teams this year.

Another of those "what if's:"

Let's assume we see Bama, Oklahoma State, Michigan, and Cincinnati win. Are we left watching the committee make a decision between Cincy and UGA for the #4 spot?

That would be a spectacle to watch UGA and Cincy supporters debate over that fourth spot.

It's best four teams.

So those 4 win. Those are 4 in? No

Bama @ 1
Michigan @2
Uga @ 3
Cincinnati @4

Oklahoma state n ND out.

Let the expand playoff playoffs debate kick into high gear

5....ok state @Cincinnati
6.....osu @uga

7..,ole ms @ Michigan

8.....nd @ bama

Or some combination without rematches

4 games to watch for sure

See, these three scenarios I can see actually happening. Houston has gotten much much better as the season progressed while Cincinnati has been up and down as of late. Baylor is a strong team that I think looked past Texas Tech a little. I do not think Michigan will have any trouble at all, but we all know Harbaugh can drop a game with the best of the them and Iowa is always a pesky team you can't overlook. I definitely think one of these three loses, but I feel 50/50 that two of them do.
