šŸ’¬ Trent Richardson...Waived Again

Part of me wonders if this stems rom both players' first few NFL paychecks. Badger has worked his tail off to get where he is whereas Trent came in with the first round money and apparently the first round ego.

All Trent seems to do is take the ball and into a pile of bodies in the middle of the field.

Hope his agent is talking to some CFL teams.

And Mathieu gets paid...who'd have guessed this when they were both playing college ball?

As much as I couldn't stand the honey badger while he was at LSU, I must admit that I have warmed up to him. He seems to have found some humility and he has been working his butt off and I respect that.

TR is such a shame. There's always an excuse. It just seems to me that his heart is not into it. Real shame.

I can't understand why he didn't move forward and get the knee surgery done ASAP. I'm sure that compensating for his knee contributed to his hamstring issue. If he had the surgery when diagnosed, he would be ready for camp.

It was dumbfounding to watch Trent not get to the hole with any sense of timing and rhythm. At Bama he seemed to explode into the LOS, dragging and bullying would-be tacklers. Still, a great Bama running back and you can't change that.

He had a great run blocking OL, going against college DL and LB, that opened holes exactly where he expected it. Not the same at the NFL level. Occasionally, he had to break some tackles in the backfield, against a bunch of guys who never made it to the next level. He never had good field vision, he just had everything else needed, some of those things above other successful NFL backs but field vision is the number 1 thing needed at that level, with current NFL OL that are primarily pass blockers.

BTW, there is going to be a feature on him on E60, tonight at 9PM on ESPN.

You guys need to check out the E:60 episode from tonight, they did a special on Trent. Its pretty sad. He had a lot of people leaching off of him and Saban made the comment that Trent was someone that hating displeasing anyone and never wanted to say no to those around him which led to almost all of his money being stolen from him by family (Trent blamed himself for much of it for not keeping a check on things and not believing the one person in his circle that was trying to tell him). Also, they touched on the fact that Trent came back to Tuscaloosa and got his mind and body right before Baltimore signed him and that he looked pretty good in the offseason at OTAs. And the biggest thing, to me, was something I have heard NOONE touching on when talking about his release. He literally JUST had knee surgery and three weeks ago the Ravens said they were standing behind Trent in his recovery. To then release him three weeks later.

And whoever came up with that bullshit syrup story needs to piss off.

Syrup story was for Rolando wasn't it?

Can't blame the team for moving on. I mean technically, they did stand behind him... For a few weeks lol.

At least they gave him a chance. No one else would.

Could find some good work in T-Town..Definitely with the autographs. Probably be a good RB coach at some point, he's learned from both sides of the spectrum.

So is he financially stable at this point???

It might have been on another forum that I saw it but someone suggested that Trent may have been released for "the same issues that got Ro released." Internet people just being assholes.

Hopefully he gets a second chance.

It sounded like he isnt completely broke but has significantly less money than he should have at this point.

John Harbaugh and Ozzie have left the door open for a Trent return. Don't count him out just yet.

People leaching off of Trent is old news, that's been going on for a long long time. Hope this isn't the first time you guys are hearing this.
