What? Franklin's gone???

And it looks like he's taking his Directed Reading textbooks with him. I always suspected that Burner coaches were expected to also teach a course or two.

Whatever offensive guys that were committed based on the spread will probably start looking around. I wish Atchison was in that list.

I heard earlier today that 2 or 3 of them decommitted after the news. I don't recall who they were. I think one was a running back from Mississippi.

You know what folks?

I'm actually disappointed. I wanted Auburn to be at a high point with its program when Bama administers a whupping on the PLAINsmen.

Now they'll have an excuse when Alabama puts a hurtin' on 'em. :(

And trust me, it will occur.

RTR!

Who cares what they say :D It still wont be 7.

The excuses have already started...was IM'd a thread from the Scout board talking about if Bama wins it is because it's a down year for AU.

IF, that is true...the only other offer he really has is Southen Miss. Neither of the two SEC schools in MS offered Perkins.

All right, what does a deposed genius read?

I see a Tony Robbins book or two in that stack, along with Willie's Way. What else?

I see one book with a big #1 on the side, but I can't read the rest of the title. I can only assume it must be, "How not to be..."

WOW I thought this was a JOKE! After all the SH*** about SABAN wait I need to do it like an AU fan $aban. They fire there OC mid season. WOW Talk about being low down! Where are all the BARN fans at? I would love to here what you have to say?

Classy journalism

I don't care for Auburn or Franklin, but this just seems over the line IMHO. Go to Auburnsports.com and check out the video on their front page (you don't need a premium account for this) of Franklin cleaning out his office.

Right, wrong, or indifferent that is a man going through what anyone would call humiliating times. He deserves more respect than that. Get the damn camera and smart @$$ questions from some kid the $%&* out of there. People these days.....

I've made my jokes, but I will admit, if this was going on at UA and that same video surfaced of a BAMA coach, I'd be livid. Mad at UA for putting the coach in that position and mad at the idiots in the media for covering it like a bunch of 3rd graders. Did you hear those questions they actually asked?

That is sickening. You can hear the camera guy snickering about the situation and asking what Tony said. Having this video on their site is low, even for Auburn.

"What was the best part of being at Auburn?" what a jerk. I'm actually embarrassed for them and it makes me feel a little dirty inside to feel that way...

Looking at the presser, what kind of sense does it make? Tuberville states they have a good offense and they aren't going to go away from it, but they just fired the only coach on the staff that runs the spread?

Tubbs says he's going to stay with the Spread!

CTT Press Conference regarding firing:

LOL! Tubbs about eats his hat when the first question comes in.

"Coach how do you go from yesterday saying...."

Tubbs looked like he visibly choked up as the question was coming in.

What an IDIOT!!!!!!!!

How do you give a new offensive coordinator half a season to revamp your tired-a$$ed West Coast/I-variant to a spread? How do you can the guy when it's only reasonable to assume that it would take a minimum,......minimum... of one full season, if not the better part of two, to actually get the system in place and running effectively?

The barn may go back to the power running game this season and it may work well enough to pull off a few more victories, but long haul, Tubbs has shot the program in the foot big time. I mean, how does Tubbs justify throwing another coordinator under the bus? Who would possible be crazy enough to come in as an OC or DC for him? How do you tank your recruiting by firing the coach/system that you've recruited 20+ players this year for?

Unbelievable.
