I think Bama is referred to as a program of the past because it has not been successful this century like lsustudent said.

Most kids coming out of high school today do not care about success in the 60's and 70's that much. Kids are not signing with Bama because of Bear Bryant.

I know there was probation, but just because there was probation doesn't mean the program can't be mediocre during it. It has been mediocre since the turn of the century.

Look who we've had as our coaching staff during that time. You guys don't look at the big picutre or the reasoning behind the mediocracy. You just look at it as being mediocre with no intent of finding out exactly why. If you're going to argue a point, at least know what you are talking about rather than just something your room mate whispered in your ear.

And yes this program and University founds itself on history and tradition. That is what makes us different than all the other cookie cutter "schools". UA is and will always embrace that tradition. So to you it's living in the past, for us its embracing the past history and accomplishments. That is what fuels Alabama and why we won't settle until we dominate the SEC all over again. I think the reason why you guys just don't get it is because you've never had the oppertunity to be a part of something that takes pride in its tradition.

DUUUUUDE probation or not. Its still mediocre. Im not saying there isn't a valid excuse, but Bama has still been mediocre. Holy crap...and I never said the last 7 years are the only relevant ones. History matters. Bama has alot of tradition, and you should be proud of that, but it has nothing to do with this thread.

Where are the people I like, such as Bear Facts and Hef and the elephantitis guy...I dont like you guys. Your making your way to the Alphamale list and that is NOT a place you want to be.

Put me on your hate list please...DUUUUUUDE.

Would you like to meet somewhere for a "friendly coversation" when you get in town?

Where did he say "fight?" Your reading comprehension is about as poor as your football analysis.

Since when does the words "friendly conversation" mean fight? Sounds like "debate" to me.

I never said "fight". I just mentioned a "friendly conversation". I am pretty sure that is all it would be.
