Also a really good chance that 4 of Bama's first 6 opponents will be in the Top 15 at the time they play (Miami, Florida, Ole Miss, & Texas A&M).

My previous statement was mainly based on the fact GA could not score an offensive TD on basically the same defense that gave up 49 to OSU in the CFP semifinal..

I can accept Baker's rationale this early in the season. He expects Miami to swoon and thinks Clemson's D will be just as dominant against ACC competition. It won't be the first Bama opening opponent who has gone south after being bludgeoned in an opener. Louisville, Clemson, Michigan, VaTech and FSU come to mind.

Edit: and I forgot about USC.

We'll see on Clemson's D, and UGA's O.

This is a big question in my mind. I feel as though it is safe to say that the Clemson O-line is porous. How good is their D or is the UGA offense inept? I only listened to the first half of the game, since I was driving back from ATL. Jury is out on what those teams need to work on. I do know the Clemson O-line had the turn-style blocking approach that Bob Connelly taught ours when Shula was the HC.
