🏈 These 11 teams have a ranked win this season. Which is most impressive?

Ohio State fans saying they should be number one since they are the only one with a win over a Top Ten opponent. That opponent being unranked 0-2, and just lost to Marshall who scored more points on them than Ohio State, Notre Dame.
The team that caught my attention and arguably has the most impressive win—a 9th ranked Baylor—is BYU. Coincidentally BYU will play in South Bend in a few weeks.

These two things can both be true. Notre Dame is in bad shape this season and a win in South Bend—even with the Domers having their problems—will carry cache in the committee's eyes.

BYU is at Oregon this weekend.

Impressive win? We may look back at it and say it was. Wins over ranked Baylor and Oregon, add a win at Notre Dame, and we're going to be looking at BYU hosting Arkansas.

A BYU team running through that stretch of games undefeated is going to a strong argument for a spot in the playoffs.

A win at South Bend is always a feather. I don't see teams that beat Bama during Dubose or Shula disregarding those wins. But much like beating Bama back then, this year beating Notre Dame is not proof of anything by itself no matter what their ranking was when you beat them. BYU running that stretch will be good for their year, but they can't sit complacent with East Carolina, Boise, and Stanford left. Any of those could get them on a bad week.
