🏈 The worst play calling

I just don't get it... WHHY THE HELL ARE WE NOT USING OUR OFFENSE TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITIES?!?! They didn't stop our run the entire effing game and we get inside the redzone and stall out.... Doug Nussmeir the past 2 games now has been bad....

It was questionable play calling for most of the ebb and flow of the game.

Why try and get cute on 1st down every freaking time when clearly AJ was not quite on for most of the game??? It was frustrating. I wanted us to run the ball out on that last drive. Yes the bomb was a thing of a beauty but it left way too much time on the clock and then when we get down there we fizzle. Rather than use the timeout on 4th down and settle down we once again try and get cute. If we were going to get cute why not at least take the timeout which would of allowed us to compose ourselves and make sure we dial up the right play?? Right from the start that play did not look like it was going to work. All the marbles on the line and that's the play you run without taking a freaking timeout to discuss it over????!!!!! Nuss gets a C- in this game.

Ugh it was just freaking frustrating. Oh we'll here is to hoping we get some luck our way from here on out. Gotta beat the barn to seal the deal for SECCG.

I saw it last game, I saw it this game. First down was terrible. We went deep over the middle for most of the game on first down. When it works...you're a genius when it doesn't you are an idiot. I have to say though we had it first and goal there at the end...you seal the game with 4 runs. It runs the clock down and you are pretty much getting in the end zone. I was for sure we'd pound it in and waste the clock when I saw the first down throw I knew we were going to shoot ourselves in the foot. Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

Yeah, our QB is struggling with accuracy all night and we get to the 6 and call 2 pass plays with 4 minutes left? Very strange plan. We were screaming to bring Jesse in and run it 4 times if needed. Lessens the turnover risk as well and would run clock. Lacy averaged 6 yds a carry with no real long runs. But what do we know, we aren't play callers. Sometimes logic does not apply. Oh well...

Nuss is still damn good.

That being said, the last series shocked me. I hammer the ball. Put Williams and Lacy in the eye and run it behind Cyrus and Warmack. It won't get stopped. On 4th down if you're going to throw, why on earth do you bootleg and take half the field away from your QB? That was very, very questionable.

Generally, I don't think it was called that bad though. A&M kept the pressure up and kept you guys playing from behind. Their D stood up tonight. Tough, tough game but hard fought.

At least they didn't put 63 on you...

I, too, was disgusted that we didn't work the run more, especially since it was clearly working. Still we were in position twice to win the game and blew it because of a fumble and an interception. Now having said that, AJ was off last night, and so on that last drive, yes I would have pounded it 4 straight times (if it took 4) from the 6 to get it in the end zone, and then the INT wouldn't have happened anyway.

Oh well. We take on 3 top 15 teams in a row - it's a tough stretch. Now we just need to focus on winning out from here, take our trip to Atlanta and pound the living crap out of Georgia. Then we let the chips fall where they may.

AJ played like crap and Yeldon is obviously our best RB but there are times when you remember why you need your upperclassman RB and not your true freshman. It is what it is. I feel like I have nothing to live for. Lol. sad
