🏈 The worst play calling

Forget the last minute run or throw controversy... we have a big defensive problem. As one member wrote, A&M slapping 20 on the board before anybody finished their Gatortade is the bigger issue. The 2012 defense rebuild (sorry.. one can't say reload with a straight face anymore) of what was the 2011 defensive juggernaut that won us the BCS has not come to fruition on a BCS championship level; not even close IMO. We're in league with Notre Dame; but not K State much less the Ducks.

I laughed for a good 3 minutes at that... I hope you mean OVERALL wise because if you're trying to suggest we're "not in the league" with Oregon's D you may need your posting privileges revoked lol

Yeldon has shattered both Ingram and Trent's freshman rushing numbers. I would say he is our best back athletic-wise. Lacy with obviously the most experience. Remember Lacy had fumble issues early in his career. Lets not knock Yeldon. I give him a pass on being inexperienced at this level.

I mean, Notre Dame is probably the only one we could beat if Saturday's defense remains the status quo for the rest of the season.
And yeah...the highest ranked team K-State has beaten was #6 Oklahoma, but many were worried about the match-up with Texas A&M this Saturday and the biggest triumph for A&M before Saturday was #15 Mississippi State. So why is it unreasonable or far fetched to think #2 K-State could give us some serious trouble? You never know. Just ask Florida. Last month they take out LSU, but this week barely survived the Ragin Cajuns. You just never know.

I dont think anyone is questioning whether K-State, Oregon, OR Notre Dame could hang with us... I was laughing at the comment about us not being in the same "league" as Oregon's Defense, THAT is laughable.

Oregon gave up 5.0 YPC against Cal... Just imagine what a physical team like Stanford will do to them.. They run the style of offense I LOOOVE..ground and pound, 3 TE set, run it right at them..Screw balanced offense, with this offensive line, we should be running it 65% of the time and let AJ feed off of play action.

Call me when you guys get that offensive coaching gig, since all of you seem to be such gurus.

It doesn't take a flipping Guru to understand that we should of RAN the ball all 4 downs on the last series. You have to go with what provides the best chance for success. Running was working great when we ran the ball and that's who we are. We started other drives with passing in this game also. Not what works for US.

I didn't agree with the calls but I don't get paid the change that Coach Nuss gets and nor will I be the one that gets an ass chewing from Coach Saban. Before the drive started, I told my wife that we needed one of our patented 4min drives. There was 4:27 on the board when we took over. After the long ball to K Bell, I'm saying slow it down and milk the clock. Coach Saban said later to Eli that he "woulda liked to have slowed down a little instead of stay n the 4 wide set. As an OC, it is easy to often over think things and outsmart yourself. Some schools of thinking say, run on 1st, run or play action on 2nd, play action or run on 3rd, then on 4th just get the damn ball in anyway possible. These 4 plays didn't cost us the game. A facemask, a hit to the head, 2 turnovers long before the last pass and simply some mental lapses on angles and assignments. Saban told Eli that he was happy with the last play call. He called it a pick route where as offensive guys like to call them rub routes. 9 out of 10 times it works to perfection and the DB and side judge on that side end up getting the ass chewing! Game over! Let's refocus and win out and see what happens.
