šŸˆ So, I had to take 72 hours to digest THAT!

IMO the reason other programs are performing at a higher level is because the players have their priorities in order. When it’s football it’s football. All this other stuff Tik Tok, videos, painted fingernails , etc doesn’t dominate their everyday life.
This is me. There is too much emphasis on those things you mentioned and I'll say this.

What they're doing on tik tok has nothing to do with their performance on the field.

What they wear on their finger nails has nothing to do with their performance on the field.

What they do in personal life has nothing to do with their performance on the field.

Its what you do in practice, meetings, studying the playbook that translates on the field. It feels like that everyone wants them in the books nonstop and make it all about football nonstop. Like Brandon said, we just want to see better efforts this Saturday and I think we will see. I just think we need to stop complaining about what they're doing off the field. Student life v.s. Athlete life. We have to remember the former players under Saban was doing same thing, just that tik tok wasn't around at that time. We saw Twitter talks, we saw IG live they were going on. Many of them pledged with fraternities.

As long you handle business in classroom, film room and show up for practices.... What they do off field is irrelevant.

What happened last Saturday was basically this: I truly believe they didn't take FSU seriously and they were shell shocked and just pretty gave up. Wommack and Grubbs didn't put players in best positions scheme wise throughout the game. Then there was poor execution efforts. So really .. I don't believe it's the things they were doing away from the field that's distracting. I don't buy that at all. At the end of the day, coaches has to do better job of getting the player executing plays consistently. Players has to do better of getting job done and it starts in practice and meeting rooms.

I think we need to move on from the tik tok and finger painting thing... It's a conspiracy thought that not mean anything. Same thing as someone posted a player holding his phone while wanting up and said this is the reason why Bama played like crap. Same thing as tik tok dance and folks saying same thing. Same thing about finger painting.

Catch 22.

How often did the former coach encourage the team to "build their brand?" How is that done?

On the field translates to the league where those players are getting paid: A LOT of their fortunes are built on their brand.

Please stop
For as long as deboer keeps putting that product that we saw out on that field Saturday.... I'm not going to. I've stated this before, I hope this works out and I look like a fool for even suggesting that it wouldn't. But we have to come to terms with the fact that this is not looking good long term. We all have our opinions on what may or may not happen, and I'm gonna continue to share mine.

"It's your life," Allen said (1:28). "It's not something you do, it's really who you are. And I don't like to say that, because, I don't feel like playing football is my life. I'm more than a football player. When you go to Alabama, football is who you are. Yeah, it just is what it is. "Look, there's very few, I've met some guys who were able to have lives outside of Alabama and, you know, party and do all that. Very few. I've only seen, like, three people do it and actually having success on the field." "When you go to Alabama, to this day, it's the hardest thing I've ever done. Physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, …

Right. So how this one any different from others?

It is not any different and it is stupid and in "my opinion" will eventually be a problem for Ohio State.

What does that say about their competitive character? People like that are not living up to the Bama standard or do I want anywhere close to the Bama football program.

The nails, the trex, the tik toks, are all super annoying when you lay an egg. And it's easy for me to complain about the younger generation when this happens. Truth is, if they showed up and dominated like they were supposed to, I wouldn't care about that other stuff. Other programs are dealing with the same type of kid, NIL shit, etc., and are performing at a high level. I dont understand why we aren't.
SPOT ON!!!! Primarily your last sentence!

I’m not saying don’t build a brand but don’t allow the brand to overshadow football practice, preparation, and game time. The 2 can co-exist but it takes maturity to separate them at the appropriate times.
