🏈 The new winning streak in the SEC is the Barn!

If they played at Arky, Arky would win. Playing in auburn, I'll bet they pull it out by 3. Same goes for the game against LSU.

Having both of them at home makes me feel much, much better. Arkansas is such a strong passing team and our secondary is TERRIBLE right now--we could play them in our own practice facility and it would still scare the hell out of me.

LSU doesn't concern me as much for some reason. They're undefeated but they are the worst 6-0 team I've ever seen.

Our offense is fine. Fortunately when we get off our rhythm we have Cam to shock life back into it, something that was sorely missing last year. Our defense just has not improved that much since last year. Our front seven is as good as any in the league statistically but if a team drops back to pass on us I get nervous everytime. It almost feels like unless we can get a sack on first or second down that third down is assured to be a conversion.

I thought LSU looked much better against Florida tonight but one never knows which LSU team will show up. Auburn is a one man show. LSU has a defense that can slow Newton down. The Arkansas game will be a shootout.

Next week scares the hell out of me.

The Hogs are a darn good team. Auburn has been getting by with squeakers against competitive teams. I think this game breaks the trend. I think either Arkansas or Auburn wins by double digits.

Having said that, I have to tell ya, I think it will be Arkansas. There are three main reasons why:

1. Auburn's secondary is not terribly strong and if Mallett has a decent to very good day, they will likely get burned quite a bit. The Hogs have fantastic receivers as well.
2. I was shocked at how much Arkansas' D has improved. They really put it to us and we have a more balanced offense than Auburn. Plus, when you look at what UK did in the second half to Auburn's offense, it will provide a template for the Hogs, and
3. I think the T A&M win has them riding pretty high right now. Confidence helps when you play on the road.

Either way.... we're going to find out.

PS - for a Barner, I must say that you are usually quite objective and I for one don't mind your presence on this Board as an interesting and often even pleasant diversion.

You are too kind, my friend. "Not terribly strong" is quite the understatement. Our only hope at stopping Arkansas' passing game is to pressure Mallett and hope to God he beats himself. We struggled to cover Kentucky receivers, and not just Cobb. I wish I had something nice to say about the secondary but when you give up 17 unanswered to Kentucky and don't even see an Auburn DB in the same frame as the receivers, something is wrong. I do, however, appreciate your restraint.

Ha, I appreciate it. I try not to be "that guy". For the most part you guys have been far more welcoming than I thought. I'm glad I'm not too annoying!
