🏀 The FBI case and college basketball: Wade: "I've got 300K on him." Miller: accused of paying Ayton 10K / month

I don't know if I'm really holding out hope that Watford will commit to Bama (just seems the longer his decision plays out...), but I wonder if part of his delay is due to him waiting and watching the corndog soap opera play out.

Sounds like this will give the LSwho PTB the leverage needed to fire with cause now.
It's an interesting turn of events (so to speak.) It's not as if Richardson is in some whistle blower operation/role here and it's a well known fact that Wade was trying to hire Richardson as an assistant. That's one strange coincidence if that's what we're going the label we're to use.

I'm pulled in a few ways just reading what's published while setting aside all else. If I were in Wade's shoes—or any coach for that matter—I wouldn't be discussing my recruitment of another player with another coach, much less an assistant. On the other hand, why would Richardson come up with such a wildly preposterous story if it's some connection he's dreamed up. Why would he like about the whole thing?

On a somewhat related note:

I've seen a few references to Schlabach on Finebaum saying he still believes Pearl is going to receive a FTM before all is said and done. I've not seen if he had any comments on Wade.

Back to Wade ...

If i'm not mistaken, Monday was supposed to be the new AD's first day on the job in Baton Rouge.
