Not sure what that has to do with it being a waste of time chronicling the barn program for 24 years. Lipstick on a pig always has been always will be.
Nick Saban will have one of his old-school generals helping the Crimson Tide prepare for Cincinnati. Joe Pendry, 74, served as Alabamaās assistant head coach and offensive line coach from 2007-10. He assisted the program to an SEC Championship and a BCS National Championship in the 2009 season...
Pendry "coming to assist" was a matter of walking down the hall. He's been there all the time working with the team and Marrone.
Pendry working with the offensive line when Marrone was in "protocol" is no different than Alex Mortenson "coming in" to handle the offensive/planning role O'Brien handles during the week. He also "came in" from his office right down the hall.
It's on the opposite end of what Saban seeks when he reaches out to Pete Jenkins: he's not on staff while the others have been.
The Barners doing what they do. Couldn't happen to a better bunch unless it was the Viles.
AS far as Harbaugh, anyone that would hire this clown should be fired on the spot. I know if I was hiring I would not put my reputation on the line to hire him. Ridiculas how blind people are. All you have to do is look at the product on the field to see he is mediocre. Maybe the pro game is better suited for him but he was a clown show at Michigan.
Florida commitment set for official visit to Alabama.

"Alabama is brand new to the picture for the Peach State lineman. Eastside head coach, Jay Cawthon, received a phone on (last) Wednesday from Crimson Tide offensive line coach, Doug Marrone, to inform him he will visit the school within a few hours."
OR...Since this was last Wednesday, I guess Marrone is no longer in that capacity. I still haven't seen an official statement on Marrone's status.
This is a good hire for Maryland. Their D will improve a lot. Locksley need to hire someone to help develop Tauila, cut down on Turnovers. Do that and he'll be drafted.
