It was no big secret that LSU and Woodward were throwing around absurd amounts of money to try and lure Fisher. Riley was on their radar, but I don't think they were ever seriously on his while USC was in play. LSU served it's purpose as a good smokescreen there. But the amounts reported here show how desperate LSU was to hire an above average SEC coach. I still think they are better off with Kelly (as far as on the field, not necessarily in recruiting).

With the way folks are getting paid he's worth it (again, I'm assuming he's going to do well). Lebby wasn't happy at Ole Miss and almost left last year. Kiffin talked him into staying. He had a large role in the offense, but it was far from completely his, which is what he was wanting. Kiffin tried to go out of his way to publicly make it look like Lebby was the guy behind the offense, but that was just a show.

My son and I were talking about this yesterday. Dabo gotta earn his money or he may be looking for a job. All those wanting him to replace Saban will either shut up or grow louder soon. I expect the former.
