LSU showed everyone how to deal with Alabama's offense. I just don't think UW has the front 7 that LSU has... I will stand corrected later if they are able to get off blocks.

What LSU lacked was an offense that had any capability of moving the ball against Alabama.. even with one of the best running back tandems in college football.. Fournette and Guice. UW doesn't have a RB of the same caliber as those 2 IMO.

UW has a great short passing game which has been trouble for Alabama in the past and I think it will give the defense some trouble. UW will probably move the ball well at times. I just have a hard time envisioning them sustaining more than a couple of drives and i'll spot them 3 field goals to be nice... that's 23 points.

Now... how does the UW defense hold Alabama's offense to less than 17 points (because you know our D or special teams is good for at least 1 score)?

I just don't see it without an implosion by Alabama.

I like to look at teams from a historical perspective. Clemson is good example. They have built a game winning atmosphere and great teams with winning 10 or 11 games each of the past 5 years. They are ready for the big time as is Bama. These programs are experienced and expectant of great games that are close. These kinds of teams are always competitive and won't quit.

I would classify UW as a "lighting in a bottle" team for this year. Their recent history with Coach Petersen has only been fair (2014 8-6 and 2015 7-6) They are used to losing. I think the game will be overwhelming to UW.

Of course anybody can beat anybody if things fall right. (disclaimer..teehee)

The turnover battle is what concerns me about the game. Wash is great at holding on to the ball and causing TO. I can say I have not watched Wash. What type of O do you guys run?

WA has a good team, that's about all I can say after what little I have watched them play. The head coach has demonstrated before how to game plan against a "superior" team. I can see WA getting a handful of chunky pass yardage plays but nothing significant with respect to actually getting points. It boils down to this, WA hasn't seen anything or experienced anything like what they are going to see and "feel" against Alabama. It will be overwhelming and how they handle that will decide the difference between a blowout or a competitive game. What so many forget....and what gets lost in the shuffle is Saban having this much prep time to get things ready for gameday.

Passing 2,913 yards

Washington's offensive line will not hold back Bama's D long enough to allow enough time for their QB to throw downfield. And they won't run on Bama. Not sure how they will score.

Shift, shift, and more shifts to get the numbers, like one of their favorite, double tight end to the WRs side, bunch formations, etc. Seems they work misdirection a lot off this scheme to get into space. So it's quickness and space, the pac 12 way.
