Was looking back at some of Saban's recruiting classes... So much talent! Then got to noticing all of the HS studs that never finished with Saban. Many of them have to be kicking themselves, thinking about what could have been... Most of these guys were "Cant Miss" prospects, AKA 4/5 stars. However almost all of them were never heard from again (Dee Hart and Mo Smith being exceptions). Enough talent on this list to win the SEC East! Just for fun:

How successful are players after transferring from Alabama? Tracking each departure

5 star Tyler Love OT from Mt Brook. don't believe he ever got PT, at least his brother Wilson became assistant SC coach...

Yeah I thought about him... Could be considered a recruiting "bust", but I don't think he transferred. Just never played

Tyler's story is one of the biggest busts there is. Not as far as recruiting, but as far as he's described.

His freshman year he had a stress fracture. I believe he played one game that season. I know he received a hardship waiver.

He played in about half of the games in '09 and '10 while dealing with a back issue. He ultimately quit football because of his back. If memory serves, it was a L4 that was cracked. He found out about it after the NC game in '09.

Here's a kid that had to quit football because of a back injury. He had a promising career but injury after injury kept him from achieving the potential everyone saw.

Far, FAR from a recruiting bust.
