🏈 Texas A&M vs Alabama Crimson Tide - preview

Sorry it's late, but some good info - From Yesterday:

-- Outside linebacker Anfernee Jennings appeared to be involved in drills after he was spotted the previous two days standing off to the side.

-- Defensive back Shyheim Carter had his right hand heavily wrapped. In the team's dime package, he lined up at safety along with Deionte Thompson, while Saivion Smith and Patrick Surtain II were at the outside cornerback positions, Trevon Diggs was at Star and Xavier McKinney at Money.

-- Running back Jerome Ford wore a brace on his left knee that he removed as reporters entered the indoor facility. He also had KT tape on the side of that leg.

-- It was an odd sight, but there was third-string quarterback Mac Jones keeping the ball during an option drill. Tua Tagovailoa pitched it during the one rep seen by reporters.

-- Alabama's cornerbacks performed multiple drills requiring them to create both inside and outside leverage on the receivers they were guarding.

-- Defensive linemen Johnny Dwight and Stephon Wynn each were equipped with knee braces. Dwight wore it on his left one and Wynn on his right.

-- Other outlets reported seeing offensive tackle Matt Womack (foot fracture) back at practice working with trainer Jeff Allen.

Alabama practice report: Top OLB participating again

There's an aspect to this game that has a Tennessee feel. By that I'm referring to the last several years when we could light the cigar at halftime if we chose.

A&M hasn't left the friendly confines of Kyle Field this season for their first three games this season: 2-1. In those games A&M managed to put seven on the board against Northwestern, three against Clemson, and seven against UL Monroe.

On the other hand Alabama has played a home game, road game, and a neutral site game. In these three games the Tide has scored a total of 61 points in the first quarter. For those "mathematically challenged," that's a difference of more than seven touchdowns.

How many honestly believe A&M has a chance to come back after being down by more than two touchdowns after the first quarter? I don't. I'm wondering how long it takes for the Aggies to run out of gas.

Unless Saturday is completely different than these past few days then I expect many of the players to run out of gas. #13 better drink up this week.
