Alabama fans have heard the joke before. They're just hearing it from a new place.
On Thursday, Texas A&M athletic director Eric Hyman was speaking to the Brazos County A&M Club Coach's Night.
According to the San Antonio Express-News, he started with, "What do the moon and Texas A&M have in common? They both control the Tide."
Like I said not new material, but another light playful jab in an offseason full of them.
The Aggies went on the road and defeated Alabama 29-24 in November, the only blemish on the schedule en route to a national championship.
According to the report, Hyman then told coach Kevin Sumlin he "wants to be able to say the same thing" in a year.
"No pressure, Eric. Thank you," said a light-hearted Sumlin.
Then Twitter got a hold of it and that's where the fun started.
Take a look.
Paul Finebaum tweeted, "Nick is going to be mad!"
A&M president R. Bowen Loftin - who according to the report - was in attendance at the event and tweeted: "Paul, he is already mad."
