šŸˆ Tennessee is hiring UCF’s Josh Heupel as its next head football coach,

JMO but this is a real chance for Billy Napier to step forward and take the job while getting complete control of his hires and good salary for those assistants. It will take a 6 year contract and 5 million to take the gig. The 1st two years is free anyway and that is 10 million in the piggy bank. He then gets at least 2 more (another 10) and then if they fire him at 4 years he never has to work again.

Dan Patrick
source: Tennessee #Vols got sloppy with recruiting. They were handing recruits cash in McDonald's bags when they visited campus.

But Fulmer had no idea whatsoever and is the voice of moral clarity atop that shining beacon. History even shows us Fulmer would never do that. He preferred to leave the cash under the pillows of the vising recruits during his time.

O'Brien wouldn't stay very long, but he's one of those guys who has proven he can walk into a mess, stabilize it, and get it back on the right track. At this point, the Volunteers could do (and almost certainly will do) much worse than getting 2-3 years out of O'Brien.

Will be interesting to see if the NCAA has the teeth to be able to find out the source of the money. Not good for Tennessee either way, but if it was from some rouge boosters, that would be much better than some diverted AD cash. Normally, it would 100% be booster money, but Fulmer is a dumbass and it would be just like him to green light an AD slush fund for recruits. And if he was that dumb, it wouldn't just be the NCAA that starts digging.
