Bowden lost to Dye 55-0 in 1992. The very next season, he succeeds him. In 1998, Tuberville lost to Bowden 17-0. In 1999, he had his job. At any rate, good old rocky flop just can't attract anyone anymore. Not only can they not land a big name, the can't even land a decent middle of the road coach. The only plus about this hire is that Butch Jones does have better overall credentials coming in than Kiffin or DD had, but that's about it. I wonder if this means that they have finally given up on the Gruden dream.
