I'm not going to predict who the QB will be, because last year I did that and I ended up looking like an idiot (I was on the Coker train) and @Birdman37 made me eat a mess of crow. (By the way, has anyone seen birdman?).

But I will say this, every time I look into Coker's eyes I wonder if anyone's at home.

I dated a girl like that. Okay, more than one.

Na you are right Bill. Everyone was on the Coker hype train. They thought he would start immediately. That maybe Sims would get a few series out of respect just like Phillip did. While I never predicted Sims to win the job, I was the only poster I remember even posting doubt that maybe Coker wouldnt live up to the hype. I remember trying to discuss the videos I had seen on him looking slow to make decisions and release the ball, staring down WRs and such. But not many people were giving that much credence since they were all in on the media hype. I also remember DoubleNickle being one of the worst of the bunch.

I said Sims would start, and Coker would take over by Florida if Sims couldn't throw the deep ball. Turns out, he could, and extremely well. After that I gave Sims props that he earned.
I'm sure we could write a novel on what you predicted incorrectly or were incapable of evaluating during and after games. I'll be happy to break things down for you this year as the season unfolds.

But he basically said Coker was the real deal, that he was a slam dunk starter, that he would be awesome and he said some quote that no one knew this better than him. Like he was some expert on Coker. What you are seeing now is a rehearsed revision of the story. Ive called him out on his bullshit and he has to evolve the story over time. That Sims had the team on his side and was throwing it well downfield. I predicted Coker to take over based on Butch Davis comments after seeing some of fall camp. I didn't see any practices nor did I claim to have evaluated either in the fall. It was a prediction based on the need to be able to stretch the field vertically with an OL that wasn't very good at run blocking. Sims turned out to be awesome at the deep ball. His performance last year was one of my favorite by any info recently. I couldn't care less if Coker starts this year either - he does have issues making decisions quickly and getting the ball out of his hand quickly.

I'll take that missed prediction based on 2nd hand observations compared to your complete ineptitude at recognizing and be I able to analyze the play during the games week after week during the season.

Coker throws a fantastic ball, with a quick release. He has a cannon.

I heard the same, but also that Coker made his move in the QB race this week and was clearly the better QB.

It's my opinion that Sims cannot operate the offense Saban an Kiffin have run throughout their careers, and the inability to do so would prevent this team from being as good as it could be with Coker.

Right....You quoted me saying way I heard about the QB race, what I though Sims was not capable of doing, and that Coker throws a good ball, which he does. The quick release really want accurate, not for Kiffins bubble screen game.
