🏈 Team Update 3 August, 2015.

I didn't say he wasn't 3rd, I said what they'd done in the past.

Redshirt freshman isn't the same as true frosh. But Harris in front of a suspended Scarborough makes sense.

I missed the "before" part.

The last couple years we had had separate practices for rookies and vets at the beginning of camp. I wonder if that was dispensed with this year due to the weather, wanting to integrate them into team practice faster, or CNS being too busy for 2 practices today.

Saban said he thought the newbies would have been stretched too thin and that they couldn't have had a good practice without overworking them.

Elder's on a roll this morning!

According to the Suttles article, he was running 5th behind Henry, Drake, Bo, Clark, then Harris.

I'd say it's safe to say they don't know what they are seeing. Casagrande said yesterday Coker was 1A and Corn was 1B. Suttles accurately described it when he said Coker and Morris were working with one group of receivers, the other quarterbacks with a different group.

Now, if Coker and Morris are working with the first rotation of wide receivers, how would that make DC 1B?

How refreshing would it be to see a writer say, "it appears?" Or, "in my opinion, I think..."

I think they're split with Coker and Cornwell both leading groups. Morris sounds like 3 and Bateman 4.

Maybe.

I'm probably throwing a wet rag on the subject here ... I get tired of the speculation when there's really no need.

I've yet to see the rotation change with Saban and QB's from the end of spring to the first camp of the fall. In fall camp? Most definitely. His MO throughout his collegiate coaching career shows outside of injury rotations don't change over a summer. I left the last scrimmage of the spring knowing DC did very well but with the impression Morris was at #2.

Just my opinion, but I believe it is Coker with Cornwell close on his heels. Morris is content with holding the clipboard and may only play garbage snaps just so he can tell people he actually played. Bateman will transfer.
