You're not the only one. Likely, no definitely not the last.

One thing is for certain. When the team is warming up in Arlington before the game who ever is running behind the first quarterback is our backup for game one. If I don't know by then and learn the day of the game I'm good with that. While I don't like the position being up in the air as it is now, there are attributes I like with JC, DC, and AM.

Last year we were underwhelmed by Sims in A-Day but knew he would start. However, the majority also assess Coker would take over by the 3rd or 4th game.

Practice reports will remain about the same, my main focus will be evaluations and staff response to the 2 scrimmages I mentioned. Those will be your seperation tools.

As to the Bo Scar info, not even he knew until the last second about the violations. So I can see how people thought he wasn't. In reality I am happy he is as I didn't want him to rush back.

Yea i read that on TDrant last night. Seems like an odd choice for some one like him. If you dont have a chance to make the NFL i dont understand why a player wouldnt focus more on his education, his life time's future. Instead of thinking about the short term and playing football.

Because he wants to play.... you can't play when you're old, so if college is his last chance to play the game you love, why shouldn't he take an opportunity as opposed to riding the pine?

He can always go to Alabama... 30 years from now he can go to Bama if he wants.... but he only has a few years to play football.

Na you are right Bill. Everyone was on the Coker hype train. They thought he would start immediately. That maybe Sims would get a few series out of respect just like Phillip did. While I never predicted Sims to win the job, I was the only poster I remember even posting doubt that maybe Coker wouldnt live up to the hype. I remember trying to discuss the videos I had seen on him looking slow to make decisions and release the ball, staring down WRs and such. But not many people were giving that much credence since they were all in on the media hype. I also remember DoubleNickle being one of the worst of the bunch.

I'm not going to predict who the QB will be, because last year I did that and I ended up looking like an idiot (I was on the Coker train) and @Birdman37 made me eat a mess of crow. (By the way, has anyone seen birdman?).
