Let me respond to that by quoting this particular statistic, Arkansas ranks first in the SEC in Red Zone Defense. We bend, we may bend a lot, but we do not break.

Wow. That is really spinning the statistics. They don't break inside the 20 because they are shredded outside the 20. They should be better next season, but their D still has a long way to go.

"Ryan Mallett has the best arm in all of football, NFL included. When he throws the ball, it goes precisely where he wants it to go at the exact time that he wants it to go there"

Obviously he has failed to watch any games....no question he has a strong arm...but this statement is :bs:

One thing I saw early on in the article that I have to disagree with is the assertion that Mallett has the best arm in all of football. Mallett has an incredibly strong arm, no bdoubt. He might even have a stronger arm than anyone in pro football. Here's the problem though; I've witnessed in multiple games this season that Mallett is not very accurate. To say that the ball goes precisely where he intends for it to is ludicrous. I have seen him routinely overthrow or underthrow wide open receivers. Sometimes they still catch the ball, but he routinely forces his receivers to stop their routes or make difficult adjustments to make the catch. A lot of the time it's without pressure too. I could understand if he were under duress.

I can't count the number of times in the Florida game where I was cursing the t.v. because Mallett was making those kinds of throws and potentially costing his team.

Mallet against SEC teams:
QB Rating=136.4
104 of 199 Attempts Passing(52%)
1649 Yards
10 TD's 2 INT's

Sec Without Georgia's horrible defense?
QB Rating=124.84
83 of 160 Attempts Passing(52%)
1241 Yards
5 TD's 2 INT's

EDIT:
Arkansas's wonderful redzone defense might be close to Alabama's based on scoring percentage, but the more telling stat is points allowed per game. Opponents score on Alabama almost the same percentage as they do against Arkansas, but Arkansas has allowed opponents into the Red Zone 34 times this year compared to Alabama's 19. All that adds up to more POINTS scored against Arkansas. That article is complete rubbish.
