🏈 Taking advantage of our WR should have been our plan

I think we errred ... I know letting Tua start was a difficult decision but even I knew our advantage on WR-DB matchup was wide and I am no coach.

I think for the coaching staff that was a hindrance .. I have no doubt that if Jalen was a little better that would have been our plan going in.

I have to agree that we seemingly wasted the Freshmen year of our stud receivers, and allowed another year of Ridley to be about as half as good as it could've/should've been. I have been Pro-Jalen tooth and nail, but this season wasn't as productive through the air as it should have been with the talent we brought in and had. I am spreading the blame on the line, Daboll, and Jalen, because they all three did their part in halting the passing game. Jeudy, Ruggs, and Smith all may needed to put on some weight coming into the season, but their speed, agility, and hands were too much to be ignored in my mind.

I also want to give MAJOR props to Robert Foster for his nice grab from Tua late in the game that was a big 15 yarder. He has struggled throughout his career, and then got paired with a guy that struggled throwing the ball, so he never blossomed, but I was very happy to see him get a big catch and then to see him celebrate with his little boy after the game was awesome.

As much as Kiffin sucks socially and from a public perception standpoint, he would have Jalen at a different level of effectiveness as a college QB at this point. Would probably mean Tua wouldn't have just led the team "Tua" national championship...

sorry I can't resist all the "Tua" jokes... it is "Tua" much fun

I'm so excited to see what Daboll will do with this situation next season. I still believe we play both QB's, but when Tua is in he's going to be able to spread the ball around like we'd hoped for the last few years.

So much talent that went unused at those skill positions. Looking back I feel for Daboll, and to a certain extent Kiffin for working partially handcuffed. I'm sure Saban and Daboll are very excited for what is to come...
