šŸˆ Sunseri to Tennessee

I am happy for Sal in that it is a move up to a DC position in the SEC but the probability of Dooley being around after next season is not very good. I guess 2.4 million is worth the risk.

Vinnie was asked at the BCS NC game about staying at Alabama if his father left for another job and his answer was yes he would stay at Alabama. You can read about it here.

Understand this.

This is a lot like Lance Thompson. A LOT. The biggest exception is Sal wasn't going around screwing co-eds on his wife.

Sal's a good recruiter. He a good coach. This, however, is another coach that didn't like the system.

With Sunseri being a big part of the recruiting of some of our players. I'm a bit worried that there will be a loss of a few recruits because of this change. Also, it makes yet another position we're going to have to fill. I don't see Vinnie going anywhere, but I wonder if recruits will decide against Bama now because their recruiter is gone.

I doubt very seriously that any kids would bail on their commitment due to Coach Sal leaving. I think the only way that any kids might follow him to UT is if they aren't committed and were being pursued by both schools. Then you have to look at this; go to a school that has won 2 titles in 3 yrs or go to a school that has been to 2 piss ant bowls in 3 yrs.

I can appreciate what you are saying, bamafan9201, but I really think that our recruits buy into so much more than just a position coach but buy into a championship program. These Juniors and Seniors leaving the Tide with two rings says a lot to many recruits.

Great minds...LOL!

I don't mind coaches that move on to other jobs, even if it is a lateral move at best. This one comes with a raise, and less oversight.

Sal didn't like the way Saban operated his "program." One area was having to report often on recruiting updates.

If you'll recall, in Steele's last season, his recruiting territory was reduced as well as his recruiting responsibilities. He wanted to move on, and he did. It was a lateral move, but it came with a raise.

Applewhite, Thompson? Different stories and definitely different categories.

I had to edit my post. You'll see why.

Why is there a line through your post?

I'm less worried about people who are already committed and more worried about Goldman who was being recruiting by Sal. Since he's got no commitment at the time and it being closer and closer to signing day.

Ok. Well, I guess it was the whole, "I'm a bit worried that there will be a loss of a few recruits because of this change" thing that threw me off track with what you were saying.
