She may have easily got caught up in her own emotions, but that confession, even if made for dramatic effect, made it impossible to keep discussing college and pro football and be taken seriously. Same stuff that's been happening to the Jamele Hill and others who can't keep their emotional/political views to themselves. Live TV and Twitter, ain't it great?
There was a professional wrestler she was upset with a few years ago and it was linked to a domestic violence case. I want to say Twitter was her platform and she was pretty vocal about it for a while. That went a little "Hollywoodish" a few months later as I recallāmaybe she was seen at an event with him? I don't recall.
@BamaBoyJosh likely will.
Anyway, her comment about not watching football I immediately found to be a lie. It's stupid, really. She's going to suggest she didn't attend a Super Bowl party and watch the ball game? Please.
Otherwise, I tend to agree with your thoughts here with one small exception. Beadle rarely offered opinions on football during that show. She reported news, but the opinions and commentary were Greenie's bit. She certainly couldn't after that day.
I've seen Laura Rutledge on the show a few times. I've heard her opine on college football, the NFL, and a small bit on whether MLB players were in physical shape. Two of the three are insights she'd know. I don't know how much time she has to watch the NFL.
