Some people just expect too much from "insiders." Even if you are close to a couple of players it doesn't mean that they know what CNS or CLK are going to ultimately decide. I doubt that even the position coaches know for sure what CNS is going to insist on much in advance.
No "insider" is going to be omniscient. The best they can do is pass on info from fallible sources.
I appreciate Box and ttownlaw5 providing as much as they have.

Boz has always been straightforward about facts and/or opinions. He did say Coker had a great week last week and secured his start. He hasn't said anything to change that. He really didn't think Coker would get the start early on because of his play in practic and scrimmage. Let's face it, some guys get better with practice. Hope he has a Heisman-esc day.

That's exactly what we have. I believe Coker and Bateman have a better upside and have the ability to maybe win us a big game if needed. Morris is more of the safety option that may not be able to win the big game, but certainly won't lose it for us. He can come in and mitigate the damage if all else fails.

I believe Coker will start, but that we should also see Bateman and possibly Morris, whether that's because a QB falls short and gets pulled or because we get a comfortable lead... I'm sure 2 will see the field if not all 3.

I have a source inside the largest convenience store in Gordo (met him when I shat there back in '05). He assures me Morris will take the first snap and pooch punt it deep to pin the badgers. Bama will then come out in a 9-1-1 defense with A'Shawn playing 20 yds deep at tusk back. He will begin his run up well before the snap and leap over the line (a move he worked up in the offseason with the help of Troy Polamalu) and smash Stave in the end zone for a safety. 2-0 Bama. I like ttownlaws strategy here. Claim the starter will be a surprise... and with everyone thinking it will be Coker, he has an 80% chance of being right. Anyone else takes the field it will be a "surprise" so he is just working the odds in his favor.

Also, ttownlaws sucks. He still thinks it's Cornwell.

In about 3 hours I will get on a shuttle headed to the game. I don't know who the starting QB will be. I do know it will be who the coaches think gives us the best chance to win. That's good enough for me. In over 60 years I have never missed a game because of who the QB is.
