Best reasoning I've heard to all their issues (short version).

Older coaching staff, got complacent after (or prior) the Rose Bowl win. Had the talent to keep it going until the next Rose Bowl and the wheels came off.

Some of the trustees and a lot of the high roller boosters want all three gone.

I can't help but question, what is taking so long. Have a listen to a few of Mack Brown's press conferences (especially after a loss) and explain to me why you extend that guy to 2020. He doesn't sound confident at all, he sounds like a dog that's been beaten too many times. Maybe its his demeanor these days, he doesn't ooze confidence to me.

There three big sports are slipping and seems they are just content to rake in the money year after year. DeLoss brought Texas back from the depths, the guy was flat out ahead of his time years ago, but its just not working . Texas Monthly did an awesome write up on him a few years ago, impressive guy for sure. They've lost their edge, their fire, or just their will.

Its very puzzling how Texas could be this content with their product, sure they say they aren't but when you keep extending the knucklehead it speaks differently.

By its very nature saying Mack is losing it means an implication he had it in the first place...but I digress.

Evidence it's getting to him a bit?

"We've got new start. We can get all this right by winning Big 12 championship & that’s what we have to do"

Along with that, in his presser he's encouraging fans to come support the kids, not the coaching staff. Face value? Looks good. When you look beneath the exterior? Eewwww.

I've got several TX friends, and they've been on the fire Mack train for three years, swearing the whole program was rotting from the inside and by the time the powers actually give in to the masses it would be a full-on dumpster fire.

As Terry mentioned in an earlier post/thread...losing vs OOC opponents. Would be kinda funny if they win the Big XII.

Thinking this is Baylor's year based on what they've done to nobody's to-date. Baylor ends the season with Texas.

I've never been to a Baylor game, this could be a good year to watch them, still bummed I didn't go to the OU @ Baylor game a few years ago, I figured OU was gonna get beat, would have loved to have been at that game.

Something else to add, the delusional Longhorn fans actually think they are gonna pull David Shaw from Stanford. Something tells me David Shaw is at his dream job. Cool photo below of him as a kid with his dad/family and one now with his family...all at Stanford.

And Willie Lyles is taunting them (remember him as the guy who hooked up LSU / Oregon with Texas recruits)
