🏈 Somebody PLEASE tell Danielson to Shut Up! (merged)

Oh man....I hope we are never on CBS again, but I get the feeling that this being the final year of the CBS contract, we are going to be DONE with them by the time the season is over. I hate, I mean HATE, the 2:30 CBS time slot. Terrible, terrible college football analysis by two guys who have no business outside of D-3 ball.

Yes, we sucked today too.

Question: Will the Ole Miss game also be the 2:30 CBS "special" or will be on the only network as bad as CBS, Raycom?

Danielson wasn't crap in the pros as QB and he's
not much better in his present role. However he
did do his job, he got under your skin.........

I thought his job as a broadcast analyst was to provide additional color commentary in entertaining, insight ways while trying to remain objective in the process.

CBS sports coverage of SEC football isn't suppose to take on any "shock jock/personality" role that you have suggested here.

Danielson's performance yesterday is a perfect example of unprofessionalism (in his field) by allowing one's personal biases to affect how one broadcasts (reports and comments upon) an event.

p.s. Altie, you posted your comment while I was typing mine. Sorry to be redundant but I didn't see you reply until I had posted mine.

No problem, bearfacts. Your explanation was much more accurate anyway.

I thought he was quite complimentary of Coach Saban's defense! He brought up the combo coverage about ten to fifteen times and said he watched films and could not come up with a consistent game plan in the passing game! He also said Coach Saban was the best in the country at designing a defense to confuse the opposition! When I was a kid I use to go to the old Fulton county stadium and watch the falcons play I remember a game against Detroit the Falcons lost 19-17 and Danielson was Quarterbacking for the lions. Hey he played on some pretty lousy Lions teams. He may have had one to many concussions!

i was actually going to watch the game on TV and turn the volume down so i could hear Eli Gold call the game on radio. But i have DIRECTV and the radio is about 6 or 7 seconds behind the TV lol.....so there went that idea.

Anyways, Vern did a good job of culling Danielson I believe. He kept on stating that it's impossible to blow out every opponent every week of the season. So i believe Danielson got his fair share of "shut up juice" from his sidekick :)
