For those that have never been and want to go one day, make sure you do it at some point. You can pretty much do it for less than a week long vacation to Destin or Gulf Shores if you want. I plan on going back at some point now that I’ve been and know what to expect. Plus, this trip was kinda thrown together late, which isn’t really ideal for that area. Most hotels and such get booked way in advance, so we had to just get what we could for the most part.
Overall, I enjoyed Yellowstone more than GTNP, but both are awesome. Yellowstone though is like several parks in one, just so much to explore. The rain followed us everywhere for the first 3 days but it was still fun. Drove just over 1100 miles in 8 days and walked a lot of trails in both parks.
