🏈 Since we now have the SEC Network?

All the PPV games are a thing of the past is that right?

I was wondering this same thing this morning. The game this weekend would have normally been a PPV game, but it's on the SEC Network this weekend, right? Can the SEC Network accommodate weekends where a good number of games aren't up to the caliber of network tv?

I'm going to say yes the PPV games are a thing of the past. With Cox, I will be able to see every game played. I have two channels, 1214 which the Bama game will be on this weekend and 1215 which will be showing the UT/Ark State game. It's friggin awesome.

I'm up here in the land of the Viles, so I have to figure out who's showing the game. I'm hoping someone does.

Mentioning the Viles, one of their first time starters, Gilliam (Jacob, I think, though it might be Josh)- a player who got a scholarship in May after walking on and earning time, is the son of a guy I used to work and travel with quite a bit. Gilliam tore his ACL in the one and only game he will ever start for the school. I don't like the shining college on the hill, but that is sort of sad no matter who you root for.

My understanding is that with the SEC network now here, every SEC football game will be televised live. It will be interesting to see how it all falls out. This week's schedule features three 11:00 a.m. games, four with starting times from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and four that start at 6:00 or 6:30. All the ESPNs, the SEC network, and CBS are the venues.

No PPV anymore. Everyone should have an SEC Network and an SEC Network+ which is just an alternative channel so when two games are playing on the network at once they will both be shown. Here is week 2 for example.

- 12:00 PM: Florida Atlantic vs. Alabama (SEC NEtwork)
- 12:00 PM: Missouri vs. Toledo (ESPN)
- 12:00 PM: Arkansas State vs. Tennessee (SEC Network+)
- 2:00 PM: UAB vs. Mississippi State (ESPN3)
- 3:30 PM: Ohio vs. Kentucky (ESPNU)
- 4:00 PM: Eastern Michigan vs. Florida (SEC Network)
- 4:00 PM: Nicholls State vs. Arkansas (SEC Network+)
- 4:30 PM: Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt (ESPN)
- 7:00 PM: East Carolina vs. South Carolina (ESPNU)
- 7:00 PM: San Jose State vs. Auburn (ESPN2)
- 7:30 PM: Sam Houston State vs. LSU (SEC Network)
- 7:30 PM: Lamar vs. Texas A&M (SEC Network+)
