🏈 We have Derek Nix now. Thoughts?

I must have been under a rock. I literally just found out that we hired Derek Nix as WR coach. Is this a good thing? He really wasn't at the barn long enough to really showcase anything and he probably couldn't do a hell of a lot there anyways, as Freeze had that place far more jacked up than even Harsin had it. Does this help us possibly land Coleman from the portal?

He was hired few weeks ago. I'm not sure what his role will be. Some said WR, some said TE. He's a solid coach and I feel like he can't do any worse and can coach up those kids. He's a good recruiter.

It can't hurt that he has a relationship with Coleman but I don't think he was hired just for Coleman.

Nick used to be very slow about announcing new hired coaches as well even though the media had already named them. Until HRD is satisfied the new hire isn't official.
