Since so many like to compain about announcers, here's an observation of mine about today's games.

The point of two of the greatest QB's in NFL history meeting on the field today isn't lost on me. I've seen comments about it being a "match up for the ages." Some going to the point of making all sorts of analogies like "Ali versus Frazier" and others like that.

Understand, I don't follow the NFL other than updates on sports talk radio, quick reports I'll catch on Sportscenter, and an article or two I'll come across from a writer I respect. But, I follow it closely enough to know one thing.

I believe most are missing the match-up of importance today. It's not a Brady vs Manning thing that bears paying attention to as much as it is the two heavy-weights meeting in Seattle.

(In case you're wondering...with True Detective and Shameless on tonight...hard to argue against some good TV versus the No Fun League. :icon_twisted: )

I'm more interested in the Niners-Hawks game honestly. A few things, with the Broncos and Pats, people are just seeing it because it has been a rivalry between two of the best QB's to ever play the game. Granted, the Hawks-Niners rivalry sort of just came along, but it has jumped the Steelers-Ravens game as the most physical, intense, badly hated rivalry in sports and it doesn't get any bigger than this. Plus the grudge Harbaugh and Carrol have between each other since the days in the Pac 12. Plus add into the fact that Kaep and Wilson are both mobile QB's and are exciting to watch when they get outside the pocket.
